FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is holistic dentistry?

+

Holistic dentistry is a whole-body approach to health in relation to oral health because the two are connected. Our office uses the highest-grade biocompatible materials and state of the art technology to help ensure our patients are getting high levels of care and treatment at every visit.

What age should a child be seen for a first visit?

+

It is never too early to have a first visit! Dental visits in children as early as one day old have been seen in our office for treatment of lip and tongue ties. As the little ones get older, cooperation and understanding are important for their comfort and for a more accurate evaluation.

Do I have to take x-rays?

+

X-Rays are used to show decay or pathology that is invisible to the naked eye. By using low dose digital x-rays, Dr. Sheri can accurately diagnose and treatment plan your case. In our office, we use low dose radiation digital x-rays and also provide a lead apron with a thyroid cover for your safety.

What does it mean to be SMART certified?

+

The IAOMT (International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology) has standards for the process of removing amalgam (mercury) fillings. SMART certification means that Dr. Sheri has done the training that the IAOMT provides so that she is qualified to safely remove amalgam fillings. For information on the process, please give our office a call.

How do I schedule an appointment?

+

Please call our office and our patient care coordinators would be happy to get you scheduled for a visit.

We can provide you with a dental claim form that you can submit to your insurance and your insurance will reimburse you based on your benefits.

Do you have payment plan options?

+

Our office works with Care Credit, a financing option that can only be used for dental and medical care. We also accept HSA and FSA. For more information on payment information, click here (insert hyperlink to financing page).

What can I expect at my first appointment?

+

We have two types of initial appointment. Our first option is our comprehensive holistic exam, which is a detailed intake of health markers followed by a review appointment to go over all the findings and comprehensive treatment plan. The second option is a localized problem focused consultation.
